Statement regarding LockBit claims

Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, has today announced that it has won two prestigious awards during RSA Week in recognition of its disruptive technology and innovative approach to cyber defense. Darktrace was named “Best Product in Enterprise Security” by Cyber Defense Magazine in recognition of its revolutionary Enterprise Immune System technology. The company was also lauded as the “Most Innovative Security Company of the Year” for its Antigena product at the Information Security Product Guide Awards.

Darktrace was named the winner of these awards due to its pioneering approach to cyber defense. The Enterprise Immune System uses AI algorithms that mimic the human immune system to automatically detect and take action against cyber-threats within all types of networks, including physical, cloud and virtualized networks, as well as IoT and industrial control systems. To date, Darktrace’s machine learning technology has been deployed over 2,000 times across 60 countries, and has detected nearly 30,000 serious in-progress threats before any damage could be done. The company has achieved 600% year-on-year growth.

After conducting comprehensive competitive reviews of the market, factoring in company growth, strength of the product line, customer base, and innovation, two esteemed panels of judges selected Darktrace for these awards.

We are thrilled that so many industry experts have recognized Darktrace for its innovative approach to cyber defense – these prestigious awards once again highlight the disruption our technology has made in the market,” commented Nicole Eagan, CEO, Darktrace. “In an industry full of buzzwords, we have truly delivered on the promise of genuine artificial intelligence and unsupervised machine learning by detecting the most subtle and potentially catastrophic attacks that routinely bypass legacy security systems. The time has come – we are entering a cyber arms race, and all organizations need to adopt AI defenses in order to stay one step ahead of stealthy and advanced threats.”
