Statement regarding LockBit claims

Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace, the leader in Enterprise Immune System technology, has won awards for best Enterprise Data Protection Innovation, Network Security Solution and Startup of the Year in the 7th Annual 2015 Golden Bridge Business and Innovation Awards ceremony in San Francisco.

The prestigious prizes in the Golden Bridge Awards were presented to Darktrace for its unique Enterprise Immune System technology during the awards ceremony on the 16th November. Darktrace was declared a Gold Winner for Enterprise Data Protection Innovation, Silver Winner for Startup of the Year and Bronze Winner for Network Security Solution.

The judging panel, made up of 40 global experts from a broad spectrum of industry voices, recognized the fundamental innovation of the Enterprise Immune System in detecting emerging cyber threats. Based on unsupervised machine learning and mathematics developed at the University of Cambridge, Darktrace’s technology independently learns the ‘normal’ pattern of behavior for each user and device within an organization’s network without any rules, signatures or a priori knowledge. Inspired by the principles of the human immune system, the Enterprise Immune System monitors large volumes of network data in real-time to detect anomalous behaviors indicative of potential threats and in-progress attacks.

“We are delighted to be named winners in three categories by Golden Bridge Awards for this esteemed industry and peer recognition,” said Nicole Eagan, CEO, Darktrace. This is a great accomplishment and acknowledges the ground-breaking innovation of Darktrace’s self-learning cyber defense technology.”

Organizations from all over the world are eligible to submit nominations for the coveted annual Golden Bridge Awards program, including public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large to small and new start-ups. For more information about the 2015 Golden Bridge Awards, visit .
